The white wedding dress is undoubtedly a tradition so ingrained in our culture that it is permanently here to stay. However, some brides choose to stray from this convention and adopt a unique style by wearing black or multicolored gowns. Still, if you think a non-white dress is unconventional, then what do you think of skipping the dress part altogether? That latest trend is known as a bridal jumpsuit that allows the bride to dance her heart out, without the anxiety of navigating a giant skirt. There’s even a variation on it, and the look is definitely not for a demure bride, as this jumpsuit is so sheer that it’s barely there.
Spanish bridal label Pronovias created this daring look, which actor Cristina Pedroche wore during New Year’s Eve. As you’ll see below, it features a full-length, long sleeve nude suit which clings to the skin so snugly that it looks like she is wearing nothing at all. However, along with the garment, there are strategically-sewn florals whose intricacies are astonishing. In an Instagram post, Pronovias revealed that the design comprises over 200 crystals embroidered into lace and Chantilly. It took their team over 244 hours to produce!
Wearing this bridal jumpsuit in front of your soon-to-be spouse might be one thing. However, standing in front of all of your relatives and friends with an almost nude outfit takes some real guts. While it’s difficult to imagine that becoming a widely-worn trend, it will undoubtedly make the wedding unforgettable.
