The Mahindra XUV700 has been a resounding success for the Indian automaker. The company registered over 70,000 bookings for its new flagship SUV ahead of Diwali last year and it has now received around 1 lakh bookings for the same. That said, the waiting period for the new SUV has also increased to over six months in Tier 2 cities, depending on variant and drivetrain combination. The company had already shipped 14,000 units of the Mahindra XUV700 in January 2022 and has ramped up production to meet growing SUV demand.

Reservations for the new Mahindra SUV first opened on October 7, 2021, and in just 57 minutes the company received 25,000 reservations for the XUV 700. The next day, October 8, 2021, the company again received over 25,000 bookings. in just two hours after the opening of the booking window, thus crossing the milestone of 50,000 bookings in just two days, giving the company a business of over ₹10,000 crore. The company said the deliveries occurred in a combination of parameters, including the quantum of city and dealer level reservations, the ratio of online and dealer reservations and the feasibility of production at the variant level in depending on supply chain constraints. Delivery times have been communicated to customers by their respective dealers for petrol and diesel variants.

Petrol versions of the Mahindra XUV700 were prioritized and their deliveries started in the last week of October itself, while deliveries for the diesel version started towards the end of November 2021.
