Ketan Mehta, CEO and Co-Founder of HOP Electric Mobility, said, “This latest addition is absolutely encouraging for us. In recent years, the demand for electric vehicles has increased significantly. The main reasons are the high penetration of social media and the Internet which have sparked a conversation about sustainable transport. There is a sudden surge in demand for premium electric vehicles among young people today. Taking cognizance of this trend, we will soon launch our first HOP OXO electric bike and a high-speed electric scooter. Also, based on our learnings and feedback from our consumers, we have completed the development of LYF’s generation upgrade. We expect it to launch within the next two months. This will be a game-changer for India’s market for manufacturing electric vehicles and advanced technologies accessible to all.”
HOP Electric has launched two products, the HOP LEO and the HOP LYF, both featuring a high-performance lithium-ion battery, and are available in standard and extended variants. The HOP electric two-wheelers are equipped with automatic parking assistance, reverse gear with side stand sensor, USB charging, remote key, anti-theft alarm and system anti-theft wheel lock. Other additional features include internet and GPS connectivity.
HOP Electric Mobility also plans to offer a battery charging and swapping network, called the HOP Energy Network. Customers will be able to replace their dead battery with a fully charged battery in just 30 seconds, the company added.
