Arnold Schwarzenegger transforms into Zeus for BMW’s latest electric jaunt

BMW has released a special teaser that features none other than American superstar action hero, Arnold Schwarzenegger. What’s even more interesting is that Schwarzenegger stars in the video as the god of sky and thunder, Zeus. Now, BMW has been very cryptic about this whole jaunt, however, we believe this is the teaser for the company’s EV division, the new BMW i TV commercial that will air over Super Bowl weekend, on February 13, 2022. Now, the Super Bowl is essentially the American National Football League’s annual championship game. Due to its exceptional coverage and popularity, the event has been used by major brands for promotional purposes.

Now the fun teaser shows a barista mispronouncing the name Zeus written in the coffee cup, when Arnold arrives in a Zeus to take his order, looking angry. In its Instagram post, BMW says “Macchiato with a side of thunder. Just like how we love our coffee in the morning. Catch Arnold Schwarzenegger as Zeus on February 13.” Meanwhile, in its Twitter post, the company said, “Something electric is brewing. 2/13/2022 #BMWElectric”, which could mean the next ad is coming from its electric vehicle division/ hybrids, BMW i, or that the automaker might be revealing a new electric vehicle in its new Super Bowl commercial. Interestingly, BMW has also released a few other teaser images on social media which, along with Arnold, show actor Salma Hayek and Ralf Moeller, as the goddess Hera and the sea god Poseidon, respectively. This means we’ll likely see more teaser videos, featuring the other two actors before the final commercial is released on February 13th.
